Melanin Pride Festival III

Melanin Pride Festival III is an epic renaissance in commemoration of non-binary, transgender, LGBQIA+ Black, Indigenous, people of color (BIPOC) in film and visual arts. The MPF features film screenings, discussions and workshops dedicated to our innovation and narratives. As important, we carve out spaces within the Festival industry, that foster inclusion and belonging and provide an affirming, equitable platform for marginalized, underrepresented voices.

The virtual 2020 Melanin Pride III Art Exhibition is a juried event curated for QTBIPOC visual artists. The exhibition will be held October 21 – 31, 2020. Eligible entrants are selected to win grants and award (up to $1,000 USD)
Open Call for Non-Binary, QTBIPOC Artists/Activists | Deadline October 15, 2020
Please note the 2020 Call for Visual Artists is Open Call is open to artists/activists of all ages, emerging and established. All mediums are accepted including, but not limited to, painting, sculpture, design, glass, metalwork, photography, video, performance, mixed media and installation art. The work can range from realism to surrealism to abstraction - there are no restrictions on style or context.
Each entrant is allotted up to three image/video submissions and three details for each. All images must be in .jpg/.png format and videos in .mov format.
