Melanin Pride Festival III-October 2020 

Melanin Pride Festival III  is a celebration and recognition of  non-binary, QTBIPOC in film and visual arts. The MPF features  virtual film screenings, an art exhibition, talks/panels dedicated to our experiences  and narratives.  Through visual storytelling and community engagement,  we convene audiences around projects that foster equitable and inclusive platforms for filmmakers and creatives to affect cultural and institutional change. 

The MPF III films screenings will be featured via October 8 - 11.

Open Call for Non-Binary, QTBIPOC Artists/Activists | Deadline September 10, 2020


The virtual 2020 Melanin Pride III  Art Exhibition is a juried event curated for QTBIPOC visual artists. The exhibition will be held October 7 – 31, 2020.  Eligible entrants are selected to win grants (up to $1,000 USD)


Submissions are accepted through September 10, 2020 -- Submit proposals here.


Please note the 2020 Call for Visual Artists is Open Call is open to artists/activists of all ages, emerging and established. All mediums are accepted including, but not limited to, painting, sculpture, design, glass, metalwork, photography, video, performance, mixed media and installation art. The work can range from realism to surrealism to abstraction - there are no restrictions on style or context.


Each entrant is allotted up to three image/video submissions and three details for each. All images must be in .jpg/.png format and videos in .mov format.
